Papers Submission

The PIR-CLEF 2017 Workshop at CLEF 2017 seeks to explore methodologies for evaluation of personalised information retrieval (PIR).  The workshop welcomes paper contributions on any aspects of the evaluation of PIR.

Topic of interest to the workshop include, but are not limited to:

– evaluation methodologies for personalised search

– user profile definition

– data gathering for the evaluation of personalised search

– laboratory based collections for evaluation of personalised search

– metrics for the evaluation of search

– personalisation and user modeling

– reports on experiences in evaluation of PIR

We also welcome position papers on the topic of personalised search

IMPORTANT DATES

– Abstract submission: June the 16th

– Paper submission: June the 28th

– Notification of acceptance: June the 30th

– Camera-ready version: July the 3rd (strict deadline!)

– Workshop date: September September the 12th,  2017

TYPES OF CONTRIBUTIONS

For the Pilot Task both activity reports and position papers up to 6 pages in length are invited. All papers will be reviewed for relevance and quality by the organizers.

PROCEEDINGS

All accepted papers will be made available on the workshop website together with the material generated during the meeting.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

All submission must be written in English and follow the LNCS paper guidelines (submission guidelines)

Latex templates. For each submission three items are required:  

Zip file containing all submission sources

  • PDF file of the submission (with no page headers/footers/page numbers)  
  • PDF file with the scanned and signed copyright agreement (http://clef2017.clef-initiative.eu/resources/CLEF2017-WorkingNotes-CopyrightForm.txt)  

Papers should be submitted in PDF format, electronically, at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=clef2017
